In addition to my freelance work as a diversity consultant, I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Institute of Public Health at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. I am also the Research & Community Sexual Health Officer for the international organization Global Action for Trans Equality (GATE) since 2019 and an internationally recognized expert on HIV prevention in trans communities.
Through my work, I aim to multiply knowledge, generate new data, and ensure that trans individuals experience better access to health care. In particular, transmasculine and non-binary individuals cannot further be left out of the global discussion around HIV and its prevention.
Currently, as part of my work for GATE, I am collaborating with the Columbia University New York to research better HIV prevention for transmasculine and non-binary people. In my past, I have been involved in a wide variety of research projects and have collaborated with institutions such as the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the World Health Organization (WHO), the City University of New York (CUNY), and the University of California, Berkeley (UCB).
